Hat Sizing

Because children’s heads grow at different rates our hat sizing is based on averages of children's head circumference in the particular age group and is meant to be a guideline only. Remember the hats and bands are made of stretchy fleece and nylon and are made to fit heads of various shapes. The more the hat/beanie is worn the better it will fit as it will eventually conform to the child’s head.

A sizing tip: choose the hat closet to the child’s age: for example: 1 month old baby would need a 0-3 hat. When the child is right on the border of the size list, choose from the larger of the sizes. For example: for a child who is about to turn one year of age, choose the larger 12-24 month. Here is a list of average head circumferences for the size.
